This weeks Full Monty numbers were drawn by former Montgomery Town defender Clive "Arnold" Tanner. The numbers 6, 7 and 12 were pulled from the bag. There were no winners and the jackpot moves to £350 next week.

The anual dinner dance was once again held at Henllan Caravan Park and was a resounding success.

Mid fielder Shane Kirkham collected both the "Players Player" and the "Supporters Player of the Year" awards. Club captain Lee Jones was the "Managers Player of the Year". Tom Evans was the first recipient of the "Goal of the Season" award for his wonderful free kick against Newtown in the Montgomeryshire Cup Final. Paul Evans was also rewarded for his performance in the same game, rated as the best of the season. Abby and Pete were given gifts for their tireless work throughout the season. Paul and Vanessa Bishop were rewarded for their hours spent working at the ground.

A light hearted end of season fundraiser was played out between the past and present players. The money raised went towards the very successful Crown Sunday league side, some £385 in all.

Just to add a little meaning to the game the club resurected the Ernie McNamee Memorial Trophy and this was presented to the winning captain Tom Evans by Kathy McNamee, sister of Ernie.

Ernie was a great supporter of local football and in particular Montgomery Town and later the now defunct Montgomery Amateurs. He served on committees of both clubs and worked as groundsman for many years.

On his tragic death in 1981 the family donated a trophy in his memory to be used as the club saw fit. For several years the cup was competed for by local teams usually pre season. With the emergence of the Llanfechain knockout and the extension of most seasons it has been difficult to arrange annual competitions, but this is something the club hopes to bring back in the near future. Welshpool Town, Waterloo Rovers, Abermule, Llanfair and both Montgomery Town and Amateurs are amongst past winners of the trophy.

The trophy itself dates back to the early 1900's.
