Clive McNamee - Manager
Manager with a wealth of experience at the very top. Served Welshpool Town for some 16 years as Manager and General Manager. Talked out of a 3 year retirement to return to his hometown club. Managed Montgomery in the early eighties in the old Mid Wales League. Is enthusiastic as ever and his aim is to take Montgomery back to the Spar Mid Wales League as quickly as possible.
Steve Goodwin – Goalkeeper – Age 29
Local lad in his third season after signing from Berriew. Has a wealth of experience having played for Welshpool Town, Caersws and Newtown in the League of Wales.
Andrew Lloyd - Linesman
Has represented Montgomery for a number of seasons and truly has the club at heart. Is also a qualified referee and is the most honest of club linesmen. Is still happy to don his boots when required.
Daniel Lewis – Defender – Age 20
In his second season after signing from TNS. Dependable defender or mid fielder, is happy on the right or left hand side.
Adam Williams - Defender - Age 20
Signed this season having won a Spar League winners medal with Newtown. Composed defender and a massive signing for the club.
Lee Jones – Midfield – Age 28
Club captain and last seasons “Managers Player of the Year”. Ultra dependable and a true leader. Former clubs include Berriew and Waterloo Rovers.
Chris Jones – Defender – Age 30
In his third season after a short lay off. Former clubs include Berriew. Is comfortable on the ball and is happy in defence or midfield.
Andrew Green - Striker - Age 29
Transferred in January last season from Bishops Castle. Strong centre forward with an eye for goal. Holds play up for team mates to join in.
James Langford – Striker – Age 21
Centre forward in the old fashioned mould. Is strong in the air and with either foot. Is also happy playing in central defence.
Jamie Bocking – Midfield – Age 31
In his third season after signing from Waterloo Rovers. Left sided midfielder with great technical ability. Loves to run with the ball. Has also played for Welshpool Town and Guilsfield.
Luke Tanner – Midfield – Age 20
In his third season with the club. Full of energy midfielder who will get forward and score goals.
Tom Evans – Midfield – Age 20
In his second season having signed from TNS. Local lad who follows in the family tradition of playing for the club. Strong left sided competitor who will chip in with a few goals.
Paul Evans – Defender – Age 26
In his third season having signed from Waterloo Rovers. Tight marking defender who is a fans favourite. Probably the quickest defender in the league.
Shane Kirkham – Midfield – Age 26
Former Port Vale apprentice. Has a wealth of experience with Welshpool Town, Newtown, Rhayader and Carno. In his second season. A signature of this significance proves the ambition of the club. Shane is a superb all rounder.
Graham Hamer – Midfield – Age 29
In his second season having played for Waterloo Rovers and Hopes Gate. Is happy on either side or up front and can conjure a goal from nothing.
Ross Harris - Striker - Age - 18
Signed in January last season from Spar side Berriew. Rated one of the best young strikers in the area. Class frontman who posesses an incredible first touch.
Gaz Bromley - Striker - Age 19
Signed in the close season from TNS. Gaz is a proven goalscorer in the Spar league. It is hoped his goals will keep the club in promotion contention this season.
Adam Griffin - Defender - Age 19
Utillity player signed from Waterloo in the close season. His fitness and effort is second to none. Is happy to play anywhere and will always give of his best.
Aaron Thorpe - Midfield - Age 19
Left sided player signed from TNS in the close season.
Has proved in pre-season that he will be a valuable addition to the squad.
Stuart Buckley-Robins - Midfield - Age 22
In his second season having signed from Welshpool. Scorer of 20 plus goals from mid-field last season. A crowd pleaser with his trickery.
